A big fair in Weinhein was a good reason to head to the town 20 km north of Heidelberg

Had to try some potato pancakes

After walking around in the old town we checked out the fair.

Saying Good Bye to the Rheins

After more than three weeks with the Rheins it was time to say good bye. The last evening we spent in the old town trying to get some traditional German food. Most of the restaurants were packed on a beautiful summer evening but we finally found a table the "Schnitzel Haus"

Barcelona

Our apartment in Barcelona was close to the beak so we could cmbine sight seeing with a swimm in the afternoon.
When we toured the old town we also stopped at a plaground

The childen played and the parents had a cold beer

 It was very hot

A great playgorund was  between our apartment and our apartment in the Olympic Village

We also did a city tour by bus

Another day we headed to the old town again to see the food markets

From Valence to Barcelona

The 550 km of the second part of the drive to Barcelona should have taken only five hours or so but because of the horrible traffic on a Saturday it took more than 9 hours. At some point the  navigation system in the cat told us to take tiny country roads because nothing was moving on the main road
This was actually very scenic and nice

Back on the Autoroute we had to stop at quite a few toll stations were we were waiting with cars from all over Europe and North Africa

The two girls on the back seat did well

When we finally reached Barcelona we headed right to the beach which was only a five minute walk from our apartment

We also had a quick dinner at the beach

In the evening Mia read a story to Larissah
