On the beach

On our first day at the beach house we spent the morning and afternoon at the beach - only a few steps from our beach house.

We were all getting ready for the trip to the beach house on the Outer Bnaks.
Mia helped some with the packing

Arlington County Fair

With the Arlington County Fair only a ten minute bike ride away we went there two times this year

Mia really enjoyed the carousel rides and wanted to try them all

 We also checked the exhibition with the price winning vegetables and other things

After a very heavy downpour we had to head home and came back again the next day to do the remaining rides

This included a ride on a pony

A year ago she was still kind of scared and wanted to stop after one round. This time she enjoyed it much more. After that Mia checked out some exercise equipment and then headed to see the pigs race

A Morning with Erika and Jacob

With no more summer school for Erika and Jacob they have more time to play with Mia. One morning they came over for breakfast

After playing a bit at home everybody headed for the pool

It was a bit cloudy but the water is stil warm

Picnic with Doris and Vi

This year Doris and Vi invited us again to Dori's company's yearly employee picnic. It is a really big event with lots of food and entertainment for the kids
Mia tried her first snowball which was just right on a hot and steamy day

She also tried some miniature golf

Mia can swim

Today Mia managed for the first time to swim some distance across the pool. Maybe it was from watching some of the Olympic swim competitions on TV

But a simple swim was not enough. It had to be a race against papa
