Easter Egg Hunt

This year the Easter egg hunt for all the children in our building was on a Wednesday afternoon and not on  Easter Sunday. Also, different than last year Mia did get up early enough from her nap and did not miss the egg gunt

It was a bit chilly and there were even a few snowflakes in the air but it was still lots of fun.
After the egg hunt the party moved indoors to the common room

There was even a lady who did face painting and tattoos

 When papa came home at 6 p.m. Erika, Mia and Jacob where still having fun

Riding her Bike

On a cool and gray Sunday morning we let Mia ride her bike outside in our neighborhood for the first time without training wheels.  She did really well and had fun

Luca's Birthday Party

A year ago it was very mild and Luca's birthday party was outdoors in a park. This year it was cool and rained a bit so it was in the common room.
It was still a lot of fun with some dancing

and games like "Musical Chairs"

 The parents could chat a bit

And instead of a birthday cake it was cupcakes for all the children

Cancun

To take a little break from the winter we headed for a few days to Cancun. Unfortunately our flight was canceled due to a snowstorm and so we had to leave a day later on Friday.
But since this was already our fourth trip to the same hotel we felt right at home when we arrived in the afternoon.

It was nice to see the hammocks again that had disappeared after our first visit two years ago

We also checked out the new hotel next door

The weather was a little bit on the cool side but still could do a lot of things outdoors

Mia also tried some ping pong

and had fun at the play ground,

tried out some sombreros

and had fun at the pinata party

Mia also could check out the kids club for the first time since she is now four. She especially liked that she got some candy there

Zumba and Yoga with Sylvia

When school was canceled because a snow storm - which didn't really drop the 10 inches that were predicted but less than one - Sylvia offered zumba and yoga for all the kids

This was more fun than a day at preschool

Papa could have needed some yoga as well since it took him all day to rebook the flight to Cancun that had been  canceled on the next day
