Skating at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex

Another mother suggested to meet at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex the training facility for the Washington ice hockey team which is just two metro stops away in Ballston. On Tuesday afternoon it is sponsored by the county and only costs one Dollar.
Even without a penguin to hold on to or some other help Mia spent one hour on the ice

Mama was very proud of Mia
After the skating there was time for a picture as hockey player and some hot coca

The Frozen Potomac

After five cold days the Potomac at Georgetown was frozen and we had to take a look with Sylvia;s family

Of course we worried a bit about Mia falling in again

Chloe's Birthday

Three years after Chloe's fifth birthday party at the cafe Milano in Georgetown we were invited again for a birthday there

It started with a light lunch for the children who had their own table and waiters and could place their orders with them

After that there was a magician like three years ago. Mia was making sure Nico had a good look

Of course the birthday girl Chloe could do some special magic

Kennedy could also help with a trick

After this it was finally time for the birthday cake

It was really good

Marbulous

Mia received a belated Christmas present she really enjoys: One can build a marble course out of clear plastic tubes and other pieces:

Another Ski lesson

Saturday was the perfect day to try some skiing again. It was cold with some fresh snow and so we drove to Pennsylvania again after German school with Larissah and Kross:

The two girls already had some experience so they were in the yellow group

After two hours of class they still wanted to go up the mountain with Christoph

Then Mia and Larissah joined Kross to on the "Magic carpet". Ute and Mandy helped a bit on top of the hill

Only when it turned dark and started to snow we headed home
