An Alfresco Dinner

Suzette suggested to meet for dinner at new plaza by the Clarendon metro station. They had tables and chairs and all we had to bring was the food and silverware

Skating on the Mall

Presidents Day was sunny and cold - the perfect day to check out an ice rink on the National Mall.

After that mama and Mia could get some hot coco at papa's office which is just a few blocks away.

One foot of Snow

A snowstorm at night brought more than 30 cm ( 12 inches ) snow. Unfortunately it was really wet and started to melt right away in the the morning. But of course it was still worth checking it out with Kennedy and Xena

Olympic Winter Games

After skiing and ice skating herself in the last few weeks Mia is pretty interested in the Olympic winter games. After watching some figure skating we had to reenact it in the living room

A Sunday evening with the Rheins

Christoph and Shika invited us and Kross's family over on Sunday afternoon.
It was sunny and very mild so the first stop was the playground 5 minutes from the house. Then the kids had some hot dogs and juice. The second round of dinner was for the grown ups while the children played downstairs. and practiced for a show

Another Day on Skies

Right after German school we went for another ski class for Mia with Larrisah and Kross. It was pretty crowded and unfortunately they didn't teach anything new. So at the end of the two hour class Mia and Larrisah still didn't know how to turn or to break. Fortunately Christoph did teach them some basics and in 15 minutes with him they learned a bit how break.
Mia also liked that Christoph took them all the way to the top of the mountain with the chair lift

Chinese New Year

Together with some neighbors and friends we had a little Chinese New Year party in the common room. There was lots of great food and Sylvia and Luca even had practiced a Chinese song:
