On the way back home we stopped at the hom town of the friend of Mia's friend

Rainy day in Hamburg

Our last day in Hamburg it was raining a lot but we still checked the famous Hamburg Brtawurst after visisting the Shins

With the rain we could check out the historic tunner under the river Elbe

A guard for one of the elevators that can move up cars gave us a booklet on the history of the tunnel and since he was so friendly we took a picture with him

Schwerin

After an early Sunday morning trip to the Hamburg fish market for a fish sandwich for breakfast we hopped on a train to Schwerin

 
Schwerin is the capitol of the state of Mecklenburg Vorpmmern and only a 90 minute train ride from Hamburg - free with our Deutschlandticket

There was light rain when we arrived but the old city by the water looked beautiful

We climbed the church on a very narrow staircase

 

Luckily the sun came out when we walked to the castle

Back in Hamburg we were preety hungry and had dinner at a Chinese restaurant by the train station

Trip to Hamburg

Since we like Hamburg we used the fall break for a trip up north.

After a big Chinese dinner Mia's visior headed back to La Reunion the next morning
