Halloween at Home

Our building had organized a Halloween party for all the children in the afternoon before it turned dark.
There were some snacks

And the Mia met some of the younger kids she knows and likes

As group it was more to Trick or Treat in the neighborhood

Haloween Party at School

Of course November 31 was not a regular day for Mia's preschool: 1At 0 o'clock everyone changed into their customs.

 Like last year Mia turned into a scary pirate

 After the group picture Mia's class went outside for the parade

 Then it was time for some cookies and cupcakes

There was also time to play a bit

Seeing Erika and Jacob in Denver

On our trip to Denver we saw Andreas for his birthday party and also had the opportunity to meet Mike, Ha, Erika and Jacob.
Sunday morning we met for lunch at a Mexican place.
The three had to check out the candy dispensers

After a long time in th ehotel pool it was time to relax with a cookie and some football on TV in our hotel room

At their new place Erika had some nice surprises for Mia

The next day we meet at the science museum

Too bad we could not stay longer

Fall in New York City

After our trip to Long Island we could stay in Christian's place for two days.
The view of the city from his apartment was  amazing in the early morning light.

After breakfast we we took the Staten Island ferry to enjoy the view from te water

When Ji did some shopping in Chinatown we checked out a playground

The view at night from Christian's place was nice as well

Sunday in Mannhattan with Christian

Before heading to a customer visit in Long Island we spent a Sunday with Christian in his place in Mannhattan.
We started with a nice breakfast

Then we headed to  a park the Hudson river

Unfortunately Mia was still recovering from a virus and didn't feel too well.
While she took a nap we watched how the "Norwegian Breakaway" passed. We all booked a cruise on it for December

Black Hill Regional Park

On a hot and steamy Sunday morning we headed to the Black Hill regional park in Maryland. Mia's former teacher from the German school had invited some families to get together in the park. There was a beautiful lake and some great playgrounds

 Also, it was a good opportunity to speak some German

 

 

Ella's Birthday Party

Mia's cousin Ella had her first big birthday party this year for her third birthday.
The birthday cake was of course one of the highlights

Ella was getting a bit tired and needed a break

Then it was time to open the presents

As a present from us Yilei had suggested a "rolling and spinning Dora". Looks like Ella enjoyed it
