Off to Shanghai

After two years it was time again for a trip to Shanghai to see Mia's grand parents, uncle and cousin. Luckily there are four non-stop flights from Frankfurt to Shanghai each day. So the trip is shorter and more convenient than from Washington DC.

Once we arrived we first had of course a fancy dinner with the whole family.

On Sunday Ji's brother had organized a special personal tour of the brand new Natural History Museum in Shanghai

A big fair in Weinhein was a good reason to head to the town 20 km north of Heidelberg

Had to try some potato pancakes

After walking around in the old town we checked out the fair.

Saying Good Bye to the Rheins

After more than three weeks with the Rheins it was time to say good bye. The last evening we spent in the old town trying to get some traditional German food. Most of the restaurants were packed on a beautiful summer evening but we finally found a table the "Schnitzel Haus"

Barcelona

Our apartment in Barcelona was close to the beak so we could cmbine sight seeing with a swimm in the afternoon.
When we toured the old town we also stopped at a plaground

The childen played and the parents had a cold beer

 It was very hot

A great playgorund was  between our apartment and our apartment in the Olympic Village

We also did a city tour by bus

Another day we headed to the old town again to see the food markets
