Snowy Weekend

We got a bit of snow this months and already went to some nice walks on the previous weekend but Mia didn't feel like joining. This Sunday she came along

 Shocked like everybody else we followed the news coverage when a mob stormed in Capitol in Washington DC

It was already past Mia" bed time and she had taken a shower but she stayed up late to follow the events

Christmas Concert

 To share some Christmas joy we recorded some music and mailed the video clips

Christmas Eve

Like every year we spend the afternoon of Christmas even to set up the Christmas tree which we had gotten this year at a supermarket around the corner:

Some of the Christmas tree ornaments are from the 1950'ies or 1960'ies

Then we had to wrap a few presents

 Al of them were put under the tree

Time for a few family pictures

Then the traditional dinner

Finally time for the presents

One presents were a box with magic tricks

Mia tried sine right away

Castle Auerberg

 

To get out of town for a change we made a 30 minute drive up north to check out the hills around castle Auerberg which is ovelooking the Rhine valley from the Odenwald

The weather was npt perfect but the view still nice

Mia wanted ti check who is taller - Ji is still by a little bit

Good Bye Claudia

 Our friend Claudia is moving back to Switzerland and we put together a little surprise for her: A small book with pictures from Heidelberg.

Because of Corona we met outside and had some alcohol; free champagne she had found in her kitchen

 It was nice to have here around in the last two years and to lean how to have raclette

12 Years Old

 Before heading for school on her 12'th birthday Mia had to take a quick look at her presents

In the afternoon there was of course a chocolate birthday cake with 12 candles

Unfortunately there was no birthday party this year because of the Cornoa pandemic but at least one friend was there
