Bike tour on the island

On the last full day on the island the weather was kind of nice - this worked well for a bike tour across the island

A tour of the mud flats

During low tide the German north sea island are surrounded by vast mud flats. You should only explore them with an experienced guide since you have ro make it back to land on time. Of course a tour of this unique ecosystem was part of the school trip

The Wadden Sea Nature Center

The Wadden Sea is a UNESCO world heritage site. its the largest tidal flats system in the world and xtends along the coasts of Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands. Of course there is a visitors center on Norderny and of course a day was earmarked for a visit there.
The weather was perfect to spend a few hours inside

School trip to Norderney

Mia and her class went for a 5 day trip all the up north to the North Sea island of Norderney. After a long train ride where they had to change trains in Bremen they had to take a ferry to get to the island
