During low tide the German north sea island are surrounded by vast mud flats. You should only explore them with an experienced guide since you have ro make it back to land on time. Of course a tour of this unique ecosystem was part of the school trip

The Wadden Sea is a UNESCO world heritage site. its the largest tidal flats system in the world and xtends along the coasts of Denmark,
Germany and the Netherlands. Of course there is a visitors center on Norderny and of course a day was earmarked for a visit there.
The weather was perfect to spend a few hours inside
One of the trips took the class to the lighthouse across the island
Mia and her class went for a 5 day trip all the up north to the North Sea island of Norderney. After a long train ride where they had to change trains in Bremen they had to take a ferry to get to the island
Of course they had to check out the beach facing north
