Trip to Paris

To meet aunt Yilei and her family we went to Paris right after Mia returned home from her last day of school before summer break It is only a three hour train ride on a high speed train from Mannheim

After checking in to our hotel at the Bassin de la Villette we took the metro to Yilei's hotel near the fancy Place t'Alma

Then we had dinner at a restaurant around the corner from the hotel, Mia saw her cousin Ella again for the first time in four years

After a nice dinner Awe all walked to the river Saine to enjoy the evening view of the Eiffel tower

Once an hour rhe spakling light are shown

Dance Performance

 Like last year Mia's Hip Hop group performed at a summer event at the new Haus der Jugend - the city run youth center where the group practices on Monday evening

 Like last year we walked over to the summer festival in front of the city library

Mia was not a fan of the music but stayed anyway for some time

Matthias an Joshi in town

Cousin Matthias and Joshi came for a quick visit in Heidelberg. We only had a dinner at home and then a evening in a pub with outdoor seating but it was nice

It was almost ten years after a day together in the Playmobil park outside Nuremberg

Camporee Day Two

On Sunday the official year of the girl scout year was marked.
First the color guard and a liitle dance

After five days on the island in the North Sea it was time to head back south.

After the arrival at  about 8 pm in Heidelberg Mia hopped in the car to join the girl scout camp on the Neckar which always marks the end of the girl scout year for the summer
