Full House

Andreas and Janine were visiting from Wuppertal for two days with their two children.
Mia was mostly excited to see Karolin - her old partner in crime from a birthday party a year ago.

We met them after they had checked out the old town and showed them a new playground by the library. Some of the activities there are also for adults - like a balancing platform

The next day Mia insisted in showing the new Alla Hopp playground

Neither Daniel nor Mia made it up the flag poles but they did some nice back flips

 The mothers relaxed a bit

When the sun came out Karolin, Daniel and Mia checked out the parcous course and a expert showed some of his tricks

Türöffnertag in Speyer

A popular German TV show for children - "Die Sendung mit der Maus" - invites businesses, clubs and other places to open their door for children on a "Türöffnertag" so that they can take a look behind their scenes.
One option in our area was the cathedral in Speyer - a 1000 year old Romanesque  church with a lot of history which is a world heritage site.

After the tour for children we walked around a bit in the old town

There was a nice view from the on old watch tower

We also walked a bit  along the river Rhine which is not for behind the Dom
