„Hanami“-Cherry Blossom Festival
By accident we passed the „Hanami“-Cherry Blossom Festival in the park next to the public library. It was organized by the "Friends of Kumamot" club that keeps the friendship to the Japanese sister city of Heidelberg alive;

Mosbach
After two weeks of sunny weather we decided to make a little trip in the area: We went east to Mosbach a city in the Odenwald mountains at the confluence of the Neckar and the Elz.
The Palm house from 1610 at the market square is one of the most beautiful tinber framed houses in Germany

Another trip to Hamburg to help out Ji's friends when the husband stayed in the hospital

Heppenheim
After many weeks of not going anywhere out of town we made a little trip to Heppenheim. It is a small town at the edge of the Odenwald 30 km north of Heidelberg
In the center of the old town is the market square with the twon hall
There is also quite a big church - some parts are more that 1000 years old
Some nice small streets with old half timbered houses
She stayed in the castle on top of the mountain during a trip with here elementary school class
In the summer there are festivals in this complex with a big court yard old town

An evening with friends
Despite the record number of corona cases with the Omicron wave hitting Heidelberg we had some friends over for dinner - after we all got tested
