The Bike Race

Each year in early June Clarendon hosts a major professional bike race - the Air Force Association Cycling Classic -  which uses a 1 km loop in the neighborhood, Just before the main race there is are different races for kids. Mia and some of her friends signed up for the 1 km loop.
The first step was to pick up her number at registration

Then we had to wait a bit until her race started at 11:30 am. No parents were allowed  in the starting area

You can see Mia in the above picture on the top left. Her friend Erika is the girl with the green T-Shirt in the center (1171).
