Apple Orchard

The Stift Neuburg monastery in the Neckar valley - which is only about 3 km from downtown Heidelberg - offered a guided tour of their old apple orchards. We thought it would be a good idea to check it out.
First the guide told us about the different types of apples and the  difference between an old orchard a a modern "apple plantation"

The we ventured out to pick some apples

 ..she also collected insects from the tress

At the end everybody could try some fresh apple juice
