Augsburg

For the birthday weekend had booked  trip to Augsburg by train almost two months ago. There was a christmas market to see and friends from Augsburg and Munich which is only 40 minutes away.
Meeting point was the square in front of the town hall

The Christmas market was a good place for lunch

After a walk in the city and coffee we had dinner at a nice restaurant. After that the Christmas market again

We stayed at a nice hotel next to the Dom - the main cathedral which in parts is more than 1000 years old

The hotel also had a great breakfast - with champagne

Santa Claus and his helper with free admission to the Roman museum: Augsburg was founded by Romans 2000 years ago

Another lunch at the Christmas market: Crepes with sugar and cinnamon.
