We had to get up around 5 am to catch the bus for the return visit to France that was part of the exchange program. It is more than 1000 km (600 miles) from Heidelberg to the Atlantic coast where the partner school is located - so they had to leave at 6 am to arrive at around 8 pm
The bus was marked for the youth team of the professional ice hockey team in Mannheim - the Young Eagles
We followed one hour behind but eventually turned north to spend five day in the Normandy with stops in Rouen. Etretat, Mount Saint Michele and Bayeux.
