Allgäu

After two days in Augsburg we drove one hour south to Rettenbach am Auerberg in the eastern Allgäu to stay for a few days in a country inn. The weather forecast was not so great but the first afternoon we could could use the pool.

When we went for a little walk later it already started to rain

The county inn was booked with many religious families who all went to a prayer session at 8 pm but it was still fun with Mia to play with some of the many children and there were common rooms to play games, read or watch TV.
The next day we explored the Forggensee a bit south

Mia had the idea to rent a paddle boat for an hour - but not after taking a selfie

With the weather not so great we were the only customers of the rental place

On the other side of the lake one could see castle Newschwanstein

After a coffee or hot chocolate break we continued to Füssen -

- a town in the very south of Germany that is full of tourist who want to see King Ludwig's castle

We walked to some waterfalls at the river Lech instead

The next day it was raining really hard so all we did see was a famous rococo church - the Wiesenirche

We also bought some local cheese we really liked
