The walk from the train station to the city center with many grand old buildings was already impressive - a little bit like being in a smaller version of Prague.
At the market we bought two pounds of fresh local strawberries
We washed the berries at an old fountian
Every street and square looked intersting
The 600 year old town hall on a small island in the river Regniitz is one of the famous landmark
Mia was more interested in the playground by the information center were a very nice local girl played with here while we looked over the maps and other information material
The cathedral is more than 770 years old and the seat of an arch bishop
After so much history Mia wanted to unwind at another playground that was a 10 minute walk away
The playground had a nice view
The next stop was a beer garden - on the way there we passed a street call "Hell"
The beer garden had a great view of the city
Ji tried the local beer with smoky flavor
and the pork meat on the bone
Mia played and we talked with other tourists at our table
More beautiful views an the way back
Mia's feet were hurting on the way back but we made it just in time for the train back to Erlangen
Wen we arrived in Erlangen 30 minuted later the city was full of people because of long shopping night and we stayed a bit to listed to live music and had some ice cream before walking back to the hotel
