Busy Day on the Farm

We had quite a busy day on our second full day on the farm. It started with a riding lesson for Mia which was offered by a teacher who comes every morning except on weekends.

At one point Mia had to sit backwards...

 ..and even lay flat

Then she had to ride with her arm streched out

After the lesson she had to take care of Lisa. One of the other girls staying on the farm - most of them already had lots of experience - helped her.

Then we explored another beach - Sehlendorfer Strand - which is supposed to be the nicest in the area

Mia tried to find a friend from the farm herself on the next beach but turned around when she realized how far the walk was

Since it was quite windy we then drove 30 minutes inland to visit Plön - a city beautifully located between two lakes

An old castle that at one points was the schook for the children of the German emperor is overlooking the lakes
A former guard house is now a fancy restaurant with a great view

The little town had a market square with a nice ice cream parlor

When we got back to farm we were alreay a bit late for the Stockbrot - bread on a stick - a mixer for all the guests organized by the farmer

You hold the stick over the grill nad hope it doesn't burn

While the parents sit togheter afterwards with a beer the children play

The trampoline was popular hangout
